All candidates who have been offered provisional admission for the 2016/2017 academic session to institutions they did not choose as their most preferred institution (First Choice) or did not choose at all that they are to proceed to JAMB portal: jamb.org.ng to make the institution that have offered them admission their most preferred choice. The same applies to candidates who have been offered courses different from the one they originally applied to study. Candidates are to ensure they complete this process on or before December 9th, 2016 to enable JAMB change their admission letters and also adjust their records accordingly. After effecting the changes as described above, candidates are expected to visit the school that have offered them admission with the confirmation slip that was printed out from jamb website for admission validation.

Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, has made good his promise to throw away his U.S residency green card and leave the United States, if Donald Trump won the presidential election. This came as he said that Nigeria was sinking when Buhari took power . Soyinka had vowed that he would give up his permanent US residency should Trump win the election, as a way of protesting Trump becoming the President of the United States. “I have already done it, I have disengaged (from the United States). By Jimitota Onoyume  PORT HARCOURT — Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has accused security agencies of threatening to assassinate him during the December 10 rerun election. But the Police hierarchy in the state, said it was not aware of such threat. Speaking through Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Omoni Nnamdi, the Police said there was no way any security agency would plan to assassinate the governor, insisting that no such threat had come from the Police. “There is no way anybody can plan to kill the governor. He has paraphernalia of security. Is it the Police,  Navy, Army, DSS or  Air Force? Well, I am not aware of such threat,” DSP Omoni said. Cops say they have detained a man they believe to be the shooter -- 54-year-old Ronald Gasser.  Cops say McKnight did NOT have a gun at the time of the shooting.  Emergency responders tried to administer CPR but to no avail. Ex-NFL running back  Joe McKnight  was murdered in a road rage shooting in the New Orleans area ... law enforcement tells  TMZ Sports .  The incident occurred at 2:43 PM. Family members identified the 28-year-old at the scene.  A witness told NOLA.com ... she saw McKnight trying to apologize to another man after some sort of traffic incident. The witness says the man then pulled out a gun and shot McKnight -- and while standing over him screamed, "I told you not to f*** with me" ... then fired another shot into his body
